Cheesesteak Bites

INGREDIENTS:
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced longways
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 pound ground beef or ribeye, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
4 medium flour tortillas, cut in half
4 slices provolone cheese, cut in half or quarters
Flour slurry: 1/4 cup flour plus 1/4 cup water
Cheese Whiz, for topping
Hot sauce, for dipping

INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, preheat frying oil to 360 degrees.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, saute onions and peppers until soft and tender, about 5 to 8 minutes. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper and cook until beef has browned. Use the back of a spoon to break beef into small crumbles. Allow mixture to cool before filling tortillas.
Brush half of the halved tortillas with flour slurry and fold into a triangle shape. Press firmly. Place a small piece of provolone in the triangle followed by a few tablespoons of the beef filling. Brush inside of exposed tortilla with more slurry. Tightly pinch together. You should now have a little triangle pocket. Carefully place samosa into hot oil and fry on each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve with Cheese Whiz and hot sauce. Enjoy!
